Frequently Asked Questions

For Customers
- Every request is matched with a verified mechanic or tow operator from the Mendly partner network — never an outsourced call centre or unvetted third party. Each partner is background-checked, and their skills and certifications are confirmed before they can accept jobs on the platform.
- Real-time tracking of your mechanic from the moment they accept your request, transparent in-app pricing before work starts, a vetted partner network rather than an open marketplace, and 24/7 availability with no call queues.
- Faster response times than traditional roadside services, cashless and secure in-app payments, live tracking so you always know when help will arrive, and a full history of every service you've requested.
- Mendly is expanding coverage across new cities and regions on an ongoing basis. Open the app and enter your location to see live partner availability near you.
- Open the app, share your location and describe the issue, and Mendly matches you with the nearest available verified mechanic. You'll see their ETA and can track them in real time until they arrive.
- Response times depend on your location, traffic, and partner availability, but most requests are matched with a nearby mechanic within minutes. You'll see a live estimated arrival time in the app as soon as a partner accepts your request.
- Either way, Mendly works for you. If you don't have a go-to mechanic, we'll match you with a nearby verified partner automatically. If you already work with a specific provider on the Mendly network, you can request them directly when they're available.
- Mendly covers on-the-spot roadside services — towing, battery jump starts, fuel delivery, flat tires, and lockouts. For repairs that need a workshop, your assigned mechanic can advise on next steps and, where available, refer you to a trusted shop.
- Once a mechanic accepts your request, you can message or call them directly through the app. You'll also get automatic notifications as their status updates — accepted, on the way, and arrived.
For Mechanics & Partners
- Apply through the app or partner website with your ID, trade certifications, and insurance details. Once your documents and skills are verified, you can start accepting jobs in your coverage area.
- You'll need a valid trade certification or equivalent experience, a government-issued ID, proof of insurance, and your own tools and equipment for the services you offer. Requirements can vary slightly by region.
- Mendly matches incoming requests to nearby verified partners based on your location, availability, and approved skills. You'll get a notification with the job details and can accept or decline within the required response window.
- Yes. You only see jobs that match your approved skills and tools, and you decide whether to accept each one. Keep in mind repeated declines can affect how often you're shown new job requests.
- All payments run through the app — no cash outside the platform. Your earnings for completed jobs are tracked in your partner dashboard and paid out on a regular payout schedule.
- Cancel only when unavoidable, and let the customer know as early as possible through the app. Repeated or last-minute cancellations may lead to a review of your account.
- Customers rate their service after each completed job. Your rating reflects recent job history and directly affects how often you're prioritised for new requests, so consistent, professional service matters.
- You get in-app support for job or payment issues, an in-app emergency option for on-site incidents, and access to the full partner rules, safety guidelines, and policies at any time.
